Denise Shearin works with an up and coming young auctioneer during the NAA's annual children's auction.

 

Denise Shearin is a highly regarded professional auctioneer. She was named Women’s International Auctioneer Champion in July 2007 by the National Auctioneers Association (NAA).  As a first generation auctioneer, she graduated with honors in February 2006 from the Texas Auction Academy in Dallas, TX.  In May 2006, a panel of judges appointed by the NAA voted Denise one of the top seven female auctioneers internationally.  Her accomplishments continued that year as she became the leading female auctioneer in the state of Maryland.  Denise has received accolades from auction industry veterans as she gets consistent sales results using her smooth and rhythmic auctioneer’s chant, as well as her eloquence, poise, and professionalism.

Denise is an active real estate investor and REALTOR® with Prudential PenFed Realty, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pentagon Federal Credit Union.  Her belief that stable, comfortable housing improves lives and communities has been the motivation behind her continued real estate endeavors. As an investor, she specializes in acquiring vacant and neglected residential properties then remodeling them to a habitable condition. 

In its December 2007 issue, trendy entertainment and lifestyle magazine Sister 2 Sister profiled Denise in its popular “Who Does She Think She Is?!” section.  Denise was also featured on the National Public Radio “Tell Me More” segment with Michel Martin in January 2008 and Nashville's top rated Talk of the Town morning show.

Denise earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University.  She also holds the NAA Certified Estate Specialist (CES) and Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) designations.  The CAI designation is the most prestigious and highly-coveted designation awarded in the auction industry.  She is a member of the Auctioneers Association of Maryland, National Association of REALTORS®, and Prince George’s County Association of REALTORS®.
